Cayo Levisa is located at the northwest coast of Pinar del Río, in the archipelago of Los Colorados. Unlike other Cuban keys, there is not causeway here, and visitors must make the 30-minute journey by boat or ferry from Palma Rubia pier, in La Palma municipality, which is an excellent experience from the very beginning.
Cayo Levisa is a virgin paradise with a stunning beach and one of the three more important marine ecosystems of the tropics with numerous coral formations. Approximately 500 fish species live around the coral barrier, 200 sponges and many different varieties of mollusks, gorgonias, shellfish and other marine animals. Also, an interesting attraction of the region is the presence of pelicans and tragonias, the last ones considered the oldest living fossils in Cuba.
The Cayo Levisa Hotel opens the doors for anyone who wants a relaxing, secluded holiday. It has beautiful beach-bungalow style rooms, restaurants that provide good quality and also a bar in which clients can try delicious cocktails. There are several daytime activities that include salsa and Spanish lessons, beach volleyball, and evening entertainment. The hotel also has a Scuba Diving School and great equipment for water sports. This is an excellent place to enjoy a traditional slice of the Caribbean.
The natural conditions of Cayo Levisa can be considered exceptional for the quality of its beach and the variety landscape of the marine funds that surround it. There are several diving points on the island shelf that make this place a particularly great location for diving and snorkeling. The Key is an uninhabited place that still preserves its wild environment in an almost virgin state. It is difficult to find a more idyllic location than Cayo Levisa.
