Project Description
You will go crazy for Havana.
Any Cuban journey must start in Havana.
(Havana in English, La Habana in Spanish)
Riding in a classical car along the emerald green sea, you may slip into a time 50 years ago described by Hemingway.
With the beautiful colonial architecture, the hustle and bustle of cheerful Latin music everywhere you go, and friendly smiles of Cuban people, it won’t take too long for the capital of Cuba to make you fall in love with its beauty.

How to get to downtown Havana (Old Havana)
from José Martí International Airport
If you visit Cuba on your own, a taxi is the best way to get to your casa or hotel.
You’ll be approached by several drivers once you are out of the airport. You can trust all of the taxi drivers because they need a regular license to drive to and from the airport. Most tourists stay in Old Havana, Centro, Vedado, or Miramar, which is approximately 30 mins by taxi from the airport.
To get to these locations, the price is 25–40 CUC ($25–40 USD) one way, but you can easily find a driver who will agree to a fare of 25 CUC. You can both take a “tourist cab,” a yellow and black car, or an almendron cab, which is a pre-revolution car from the 50s. It would be more fun to choose an almendron cab!
